Day 1:  Hanoi – Laocai

21.00 Pm: Pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and depart for Hanoi station for overnight train to Laocai. Overnight on train (04 berth cabin sharing)


Day 2: Laocai – Weekly Market – Sapa

Arrive at Lao Cai station early morning, you’ll have time for refreshment and breakfast before taking a private drive to a weekly market frequented by ethnic minority people. Although it’s quite a long drive, the landscape is attractive and the ethnic markets are a fascinating experience. Unlike those in the tourist areas, the weekly market is not only for buying and selling but are also meeting places for ethnic minority people to meet and exchange news. There will be plenty of color and authentic costumes, but very little to buy as souvenirs unless you want to barter for a water buffalo or a sack
of fertilizer! After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll set off for Sapa. There’s time for a short trek to visit a local village en route. You’ll arrive at Sapa with time to relax and stroll around the town.

Sapa weekly market Visiting Site/Activity

Sapa is famous for its weekly local markets and on almost every day in the week, there is a nice market to visit, somewhere in the area around Sapa the local hill tribes will be gathering for their weekly market most days to sell handicrafts and ethnic-style clothing, these are also important social occasions. Those who live in the region’s more isolated villages have the chance to meet friends and family, exchange news, eat and even indulge in some of the locally brewed spirits

Day 3: Sapa – Cat cat – Y Linh Ho – Laochai San –Laochai – Ta Van village

After breakfast and short break, we will take a short drive to the first village H’Mong – Cat Cat Village, start trekking and walk around the village. We continue to visit the old Hydro Electric Power station, built by French in the old days. We then hike on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village of Y Linh Ho & Lao Chai. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces and visit the H’mong people living in the wooden and bamboo houses. After that, we continue going to Ta Van village to visit Zay minority. Have dinner and free evening at leisure. Overnight at a homestay in Ta Van Village.

Cat Cat village Visiting Site/Activity

Located 3 km from Sapa center, Cat Cat - the old village of H'mong people- attracts tourists from all over the world for its distinctive customs and practices which have been lost in almost ethnic villages

Y Linh Ho Visiting Site/Activity

Y Linh Ho is a Black H'mong village where you can enjoy the beautiful and interesting scenery of these villages and learn about daily life of Black H'mong people.

Day 4: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa – Laocai

After the breakfast, we take on the road to Giang Ta Chai Village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces, visit silver waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge. We have a chance to meet the local people and share cultural experiences with families. We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su pan village. Picnic lunch is on the way. We will meet the Jeep and transfer back to Sapa. We then head to the Railway Station for overnight train to Hanoi. Alacarte Dinner included.

You will arrive in Hanoi the next early morning at 5.00 Am approximately. The trip ends at Hanoi station.

Giang Ta Chai Visiting Site/Activity

Located 15km from Sapa town, in the right side of Muong Hoa Village, Giang Ta Chai has become of the attractive places to visitors who want to experience the colorful traditional customs of Red Dao people.

Su Pan village Visiting Site/Activity

Also located in Muong Hoa Valley Su Pan commune can be referred to as “mountainous commune”. Walking uphill from the road, one can see rudimentary houses built on the rocky farmland where the locals cultivate corn for their staple food.
