Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau valley
Departure from your hotel at 8.00am. On the morning drive to Mai Chau, we’ll leave the city behind and pass through craggy, mountainous landscape. We drive up a massive pass and end in the mountainous circus of Mai Chau. On arrival in the small remote village, we’ll check in to the traditional guesthouse of a Thai ethnic minority family, wooden and on stilts, like we love them. In the afternoon, you have the choice of hiking or cycling around the green hills letting your guide point out and explain the wonders along the way. If the weather is good, we can also go check out the nice cascades hidden somewhere, few kilometers behind the village. Afterwards, we return for dinner and overnight in the stilt house with our friendly Thai hosts.

Day 2: Mai Chau valley – Moc Chau plateau
After breakfast with a view, you can wander around the houses to glimpse the daily life of local people. They specialize in weaving brocade products and they’re happy to show visitors their skills. The village is operated as a community cooperative organized by the people themselves – one of many reasons why are proud to bring visitors here. You will be able to walk through the villages before lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Hanoi with a new perspective on life in rural Vietnam and some fantastic memories stored in the camera and in your heart.

Day 3: Moc Chau plateau – Hanoi
Wake up early to enjoy a breakfast and enjoy the fresh atmosphere in a mountainous area. You will then visit a small village of black Thai people where is implemented a community-based tourism project, follow the guide for a gentle walk throughout the village. You will have a chance to go for a tea factory visit during the trek subject to availability.
Drive back to Hanoi and trip ends at your hotel at 17.00 pm approximately.
Moc Chau tea plantation Visiting Site/Activity
Moc Chau is a district of Son La province and its capital is of the same name. It is a large mountainous and hilly region, a beautiful area of tea plantations, flowering fruit trees, and flowers.
