DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU
Departure from your hotel at 8.00am. On the morning drive to Mai Chau, we’ll leave the city behind and pass through craggy, mountainous landscape. We drive up a massive pass and end in the mountainous circus of Mai Chau. On arrival in the small remote village, we’ll check in to the traditional guesthouse of a Thai ethnic minority family, wooden and on stilts, like we love them. In the afternoon, you have the choice of hiking or cycling around the green hills letting your guide point out and explain the wonders along the way. If the weather is good, we can also go check out the nice cascades hidden somewhere, few kilometers behind the village. Afterwards, we return for dinner and overnight in the stilt house with our friendly Thai hosts.

DAY 2: MAI CHAU VALLEY – MOC CHAU
After breakfast with a view, you can wander around the houses to glimpse the daily life of local people. They specialize in weaving brocade products and they’re happy to show visitors their skills. The village is operated as a community cooperative organized by the people themselves – one of many reasons why are proud to bring visitors here. You will be able to walk through the villages before lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Hanoi with a new perspective on life in rural Vietnam and some fantastic memories stored in the camera and in your heart.

Mai Chau ethnic brocade village is known by diversified and plentiful brocading designs as a traditional handicraft village. White Thai female in Mai Chau valley weave brocade skillful with many interlacing designs and other designs in order to meet different requirements in the life.
DAY 3: MOC CHAU – HANOI
Wake up early to enjoy a breakfast and enjoy the fresh atmosphere in a mountainous area. You will then visit a small village of black Thai people where is implemented a community-based tourism project, follow the guidelines for a gentle walk throughout the village. You will have a chance to go for a tea factory visit during the trek subject to availability. Drive back to Hanoi and trip ends at your hotel at 17.00 pm approximately.

DAY 4; HANOI – BAI TU LONG BAY
07.30 – 08.00: Pick you up at the hotel located in Hanoi Old Quarter.
After 3.5 hour drive, we will arrive in Halong cruise port. Our local guide will see you for the check-in and cruise briefing. Lunch is served while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating limestone karsts on the way.
In the afternoon, you spend the time to visit the well-hidden Thien Canh Son cave, relax on a white sandy beach at Hon Co Island and go kayaking or swimming. Dinner and overnight on board.

Thien Canh Son cave belogns to Bai Tu Long bay area, Halong bay. Inside the cave, it is an ethereal wonderland with naturally carved images resembling a lotus, and a baby elephant. The ceiling of the cave is covered with a shiny ‘gem carpet’, and numerous sparkling stalactites appear like ’hanging lamps’. Stone statues of seals and flowers create an imaginary dream world
Kayaking in Cong Do Visiting Site/Activity
Kayaking in Halong Bay is the best way to explore the breathtaking beauty of Halong Bay. Paddle through islets; visit hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches and floating fishing villages…Kayaks go where other big boats cannot.
DAY 5: BAI TU LONG BAY – HANOI
Start a day with a glorious view of the Bay with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the breakfast in the fresh air. Later, you have a visit to Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat, meet the local people and visit fish farms. More swimming is available. Around 10.00 – 11.30, we cruise towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.
After checking out of the junk, we drive back to Hanoi, on the back to Hanoi we will stop at Yen Duc village for the authentic water puppet show, a unique performance in Vietnam countryside. The trip ends at 5:00 in Hanoi.
Vung Vieng fishing village Visiting Site/Activity
Vung Vieng is located in the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay, 24 km from the mainland. You will not only be immersed by the quiet and peaceful landscape, but also be instructed in the fine arts of sailing and casting fish nets.
